Spear Brighton supports young people aged 16 to 24 who face serious barriers getting into work, giving them the support, skills, and confidence to find employment or re-enter education and build a future filled with hope. We believe in the potential of all young people regardless of circumstance.

Spear builds resilience in our young people, equipping them to navigate a hugely insecure labour market and other personal challenges through focusing on attitudinal development as a key priority before helping develop the necessary skills and resources required to sustain employment.

What it is

The Programme consists of six weeks of coaching to overcome barriers and challenge attitudes and behaviours. The participants learn practical skills such as how to write a good CV and take part in mock interviews. This is followed up with a year of support for each candidate to help them find a job and succeed in work.

How you can help

With your support, we can go on changing the lives of some of the most disadvantaged people across our city. We couldn’t continue our vital work without your support. Find out more at our Supporters page.
